They say that there are only very few things in this world that could make you as happy as food. I’m John, and I believe in it, too. Aside from my family, there’s nothing I enjoy spending my time with more than my kitchen.
I’m a freelancer, so I stay at home most of the time. When I’m not working, I cook and fix things in the house. But mostly, I cook. I’m in charge of preparing my two sons’ breakfast and lunch pack. For dinner, my wife and I alternately do the cooking.
I loved cooking ever since I had to leave my job, take care of my older son, and stay at home. Left alone in the kitchen, it’s easy for me to get lost in the moment. I’m fond of experimenting my dishes. When I succeed in making new good food, I enthusiastically share it with my sons, who fortunately always seem to love them. Seeing the smiles on their faces move me to create this blog.
Une Cuillerée Pour Papa is dedicated to dads like me who stay at home and who like to cook among other household chores. I specifically chose the blog name Une Cuillerée Pour Papa, French for A Spoon for Dad, because I believe that dads can also succeed in taking care of a home and do tasks such as cooking with flying colors. So for those who are still struggling, you shouldn’t give in to frustration. If you take it one step at a time, you’ll eventually learn how to do things easily. You might even come to love doing them!
In this blog, I will share tips and tricks I have used in cooking. I will also share some of my most successful food recipes, hoping that you would love it as much as my sons do. Lastly, I will give some advice on how to handle simple problems that might happen around the house.
